GravitySpring &Pivot

The name

Three words.

Strip a mechanical watch down and you find three ideas holding it together. Gravity, which winds it. A spring, which stores that energy and lets it go one beat at a time. And pivots, the tiny polished points every wheel turns on.

Nothing in it runs on a battery or a chip. It keeps time because physics is consistent, and because someone took the trouble to make each part exactly the right size. We named the company after that, so we wouldn't forget it.

How we work

Drawn first.

Every part starts as a drawing, down to the finish on each surface and the gap between two parts. We work through the details on paper, where changing your mind is free, and only then ask a workshop to cut metal.

It's slower. It also means that when a watch arrives, it's the one we meant to make.

Small batches. No shortcuts we'd have to explain.

Who we are

Independent.

GSP is a small, independent watch company. Not a catalogue of fifty models: one watch at a time, made properly. Our first, the 3BL, is in development now.
